Tax status

Foundation for Small Business Development is organized and operated as a 501(c)(3) public charity under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. As a public charity, we are organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, no part of our net earnings benefits any private individual, and our activities support our stated mission of entrepreneurship and small-business development.

We never charge a fee to apply, to be considered, or to receive a grant.
Reporting on use of funds
Approved grants come with a simple reporting agreement so we can track outcomes and disclose them over time.
