FFSBD Opens Its 2026 Global Grant Cycle
Applications are open worldwide. Here's what's the same, what's new, and who gets a closer look this year.
FFSBD's 2026 grant cycle is officially open to international applicants worldwide. As with every cycle, there is no application fee and no requirement that a business already be formally registered to apply — eligibility is assessed on priority focus areas, project quality, and expected impact.
What's staying the same
The core review process hasn't changed: an application arrives through our online application form, our team checks it against our eligibility criteria, and applicants hear back by email with a decision or a request for more information.
What's getting closer attention this cycle
We're giving additional review time this cycle to applications from three groups who consistently face the widest gap between what conventional lenders will finance and what their businesses actually need:
Women-led businesses
Majority-owned or primary-operator applications.
Rural businesses
Operations based outside major urban centers.
Youth-led businesses
Early-career founders building a first business.
This doesn't change eligibility for anyone else — it means these applications get a second, dedicated look during review.
A reminder on process
We will never ask an applicant to pay a fee at any stage. If you receive a message claiming to be from FFSBD that asks for payment to "process," "release," or "unlock" a grant, it did not come from us — forward it to enquiries@ffsbd.org and we'll look into it.
